Perfect Misfit

A world without honey

Or honey without bees

A world without flowers

Or flowers without petals

A world without stigma

Or stigmas without ovules

But if all these must be

Pray may I have

Just one wish

A perfect world

Oneย  without pollens

For without pollens

Days of sorrows

Days of dyspnea

I can exhale

And inhale

With no cares

In the world

And the drips

From these nostrils

Can take a break

Withoutย pollens

I can join the folks

That burst with joy

At the triumphant

Entry of spring

  1. It has snowed so much here that the pollen is covered up. During the one brief day of sun, my husband’s allergies went bonkers. We have sympathy for you. Glad to see you posting again.
