You should leave the bay
For this is your day
There is no telling
How much you’ll be yelling
Just how far you will go
Since you’re now a pro
With no brains in your head
No limits to your spread
It’s amazing what you can do
I should take a cue from you
You can go anywhere
Barriers are what you tear
The world is wide
And you won’t hide
The choices are yours
In scores and scores
You will go places
And win races
Fences walls and doors
Not enough to break your tours
You can stay in many a town
Or meet with many a Crown
You can travel far
With or without a car
You can go with the flow
It’s your time to tell and show
Join the parades
Or raid all the aides
Soar with the daredevils
Go above their levels
Meddle with the best
Giggle with the rest
And when you slump
That’s still a trump
You will rise and laugh
Again at other’s gaffe
And if you bump
Others will plump
For you may be a grain
One with no ordinary reign
You make people call in
Surrendering to allergies
Not minding their strategies
You are the pollen grain
Riding your season train

Wouldn’t it be fun to have a children’s book with pictures illustrating your seasonal poem?

Very nice read for me on this Sunday morning! Loved the image as well.
Sorry for the digression but I recently read that the bee population has starkly declined due to environmental hazards. We can’t afford to lose these little helpers. Using your words, I’ll simply say, “It’s amazing what (they) can do.”

There is an urgent need to stop chemical-intensive industrial agriculture and to shift towards ecological farming. Ecological farming ensures healthy farming and healthy food for today and tomorrow by protecting soil, water and climate, and promotes biodiversity. It does not contaminate the environment with chemical inputs like synthetic chemical pesticides, fertilizers nor genetically engineered organisms.
What can we do? Stop using insecticides, pesticides and herbicides. More importantly, begin the campaign (a.k.a. start fighting the big corporations) against industrialized agriculture. Can we win the battle against “big money” ? On the other hand if we stay on the sidelines, we would be spectators of the destruction of our ecosystem.
Thank you for stopping by. I appreciate your comment. Have a beautiful day!❤

Absolutely! Lately, in the US, we have been feeling exactly the way you describe, “…spectators of the destruction of our own ecosystem.” Not to mention the dismantling of our democracy.
Thanks for such a thoughtful response. I hope you have a magnificent week 🙂

And this one quite reminds me of “Oh, the places you’ll go” by Dr. Seuss. Do look it up if you get the chance.

Hi Gbolabo, You’re one of the best poets on this platform. But I hardly find your post on my reader… Every visit here leaves me awestruck. You write excellently. 🙂

Thank you so much. I learned from you. I have similar issue with the reader and I have found that the problem is with WordPress’ poor system maintenance. Sometimes I have to manually search for blogs that I do follow before I can see their posts. Thank you for stopping by. Your comment made my day. 🌼
