You are looking at volume lacking in her hair
All I see is the brilliance in her head
You hear the accent in her voice
All I hear is the honesty in her harmonies
You say her spine is arched and her shoulders aback
All I see is her confidence
You say she needs some beauty tips
It’s her personality that gets my heart
You want to grace her face with make-up
But her heart does need no stroke of paint

I liked this piece a lot. It’s very on point considering the ways magazines, and people in general, tend to make women feel they can never be perfect enough even though they already hold their own perfection within 🙂
