A Genuine Promise

On all the seasons of striving

And all the labor of love

Sunsets hither

The coda is herein

Ladders are crashing

And the vault is empty

Things are dropping aside

The tears over my peepers

Won’t let me see

The horizon’s plane

With all the void

The solitude

And stumps of life

The nightfall still holds

A genuine promise

  1. Your poetry is deeply moving – and heart felt. I was brought here via Jane basil’s blog. I’m glad I did. Welcome too to my blogging community – much appreciated.
