We saw the bowl last night
A dessert of pregnant men
Waiting to spew their vile
They gathered from the North
And sojourned from the West
The bowl was filled with a cocktail of mandates
Seemingly nouveau but sadly familial
A call to feast was proclaimed with a thunderous appeal
A chant appealing to the thirsty and sundry
With a deja vu allure
We drank from the bowl of lies
We savored the relish of promises
The feast is served
But
Let the hungry beware
For only the filthy and fat
Are nourished.

You are right. At this point, Anna, I can say with all certainty that, so far, you are the one who has actually taken the time to read all my posts on this blog as of today. I am very thankful for you, for what is the essence of writing except there be some who are willing to do the reading. You made my day. 🍁🌹🌷

Then I am a most fortunate woman. You are in good company, Gbolabo. Geoffrey Chaucer, Sylvia Plath, Emily Dickinson, Henry David Thoreau, Zora Hurston, Walt Whitman, Franz Kafka, Herman Melville, and many other famous authors were at first unsuccessful.

#kindabeenstalkingyourwholeblog When did you start writing exactly ? What got you into this ? Are you studying in the field or are you self-taught ? Who inspired you the most to try your hand at poetry ?

Stalk on! It gives me joy. ☺I started over a year ago. I found myself at a point in life where I felt my happiness was slipping away and this blog was a way for me to get out of my own head. I am an not studying in this field. #lessthananarmateur. It was Max Ehrmann 1872-1945. Thanks for asking these questions.🌸🌼💞
